Trip-Planning Tuesday

I've got a couple of trips coming up, so naturally this gave me an excuse for a new planner to both plan and document my holiday. I'm loving setting it up and can't wait for the first of my holidays.

I opted for this fun polka dot planner and even had a go at printing some bits whilst I wait for everything else to arrive so I can really get my teeth in. I made these by searching for free disney printable silhouettes on google then adding the striped backgrounds.

This planner also means I've had an excuse to use my TKMaxx bargain, although it's not stopped me picking up some other pretty things as well.

I discovered the enchanted range this week which is all very princess-esque and lovely.

Firstly I made a pretty set of dividers, although I'm in two minds about laminating them as they become very heavy when I do this.

So far I've planned my sections and what is going in each one. I used my label maker from Hema to identify each divider. I think the black works really well with the paper too.

Lastly I couldn't resist a pretty page marker to help me find my place when I get there.

Now I've started my planner I've really got the bug and am impatient to complete both this one, and the one for my trip to Orlando in October. I'd best get cracking I guess!

New Dividers and Dashboard

I couldn't resist a girly new set-up for my fluoro, so (under close supervision of Pixie) made the most of the sunshine and had a crafty day.

As you can see Pixie was very dedicated to the task, choosing to nap instead on my work planner.

I used this paper stack which I picked up in TK Maxx. The paper is lovely and thick, more like card so I'm going to risk not laminating for the time being.

I love the quote on the dashboard and the graffiti style decoration. It just had to be the first thing to see when you open my planner.

The dividers are fun and pretty, they made me feel a little nostalgic to be perfectly honest.

The pink and green ones are my favourite, but it was really hard to choose just six papers from the stack as they were all so cute!

I hope you like them, thanks for stopping by!

Alice inspired dividers

I felt it was time for a little update in my work planner as I start to think about preparing for the new school year. I like to go literacy themed, and after my new dashboard I decided to go with the theme.

I've used Kaisercraft papers with a Michaels paperpack and on the whole I'm really happy with them.

They're a bit more steampunk than Alice, but they remind me of her somehow anyway. Maybe it's the roses?

I've tentatively decided not to laminate them as the paper stock is quite thick already, I'm hoping they'll last.

Sn@p monthly dividers in my A5

When I spotted these on Amazon I couldn't resist buying them for my work planner, they seemed to be exactly what I need.

They're bright and colourful, with plenty of space. There's a monthly layout across two parts, perfect for what I need.

There's also space for important notes on the back which looks really cute.

They're so cheerful, they really perk up my planner. There is literally just one (maybe two) issue(s).

Firstly I had to re-punch them as there were not enough holes to fit a planner initially. This was a quick fix and easily remedied.

The only other problem I have is compared to my planner these are a touch too big. Not hugely, but enough to be inconvenient.

With my planner open it didn't look too bad, maybe just a little odd but closing my planner was a whole other question.

I'm slightly hoping that if I fill my planner up a bit it'll be slightly less of an issue, but I fear on a more realistic perspective that if may in fact need to trim them down just a little. I'll keep you posted.

Setting up my butterfly

I've been itching to set this pretty little number up since I got my grubby mitts on it. The only problem was I wanted the perfect papers to do so. I finally found some this weekend, so she's finally ready, I can scarcely contain my excitement!

These pretty dividers were made with some paper I picked up in TK Maxx this weekend.

As I can't resist anything pink and girly I bought some pink weekly pages and helped a good cause too. Filofax make these every year to raise funds for Breast Cancer.

I also added some pretty lined paper I picked up from Paperchase. It has bunting along the top which I thought was very sweet.

I kept the original dashboard though as I thought it was very pretty.

I also added a cheerful journalling card which matches my mood at the moment as I've been doing lots of long term goal planning and thinking about the future.

I'm so happy to now be using this beautiful planner. I can't wait to start decorating my pages.

Monthly Dividers

I do love making dividers and will find any excuse to make new ones, so this week I've been making monthly dividers for my planner.

I'm absolutely in love with these as they carry on my princess theme, although you'll notice that some of the tabs are a touch uneven, I need a bit more practice there.

On the whole I'm really pleased with the way they turned out though. I used a princess paper stack I bought through Amazon, which was just the right size for making A5 dividers without the pictures overpowering the dividers.

There was a greater variety of princesses than the previous paper stack I used and because the paper was double sided I was able to create contrasting tabs.

You can't really tell from the pictures but lots of the paper was glittery and it gives a lovely sparkle to the paper.

I loved that the paper even included Pocahontas as she (and Belle) was a favourite growing up. One or two of the dividers writing on them too which looks lovely.

I keep opening my planner to look at them, though you'll notice in my excitement I forgot to write the months on them before I laminated... Whoops! It hasn't stopped me enjoying them though.

Personal Size Dividers

After I finished the dashboard for my personal size, I got straight on with dividers to match. They're from the same paper as my A5 dividers but in a slightly different order.

I'm really pleased with them, I think my favourite might be the one on the bottom right. It's got Sebastian from The Little Mermaid on it.

I love how pretty these are and the pink interior of my Filofax complements them really well in my opinion.

I've really enjoyed making these, but I think I might do something other than Disney for my next set, although saying that, I've already started planning my winter set up. Nothing like being organised!

More Dividers

As always I've been enjoying some craft time this weekend, making dividers for my tweed and some cute paperclips. The dividers match my dashboard and add to the girly feel of my planner.

I still had a little difficulty with the laminator, although these came out better than the Roald Dahl ones. My favourite one is the green one.

They look fab in my planner too. I think these might be my favourite thing in my planner yet.

I also took some time to make some pretty paperclips this weekend with some flowers I got from the pound shop.

I really liked the colours in the selection, they're really pretty and they look really sweet in my personal size too.

And here's a wider selection of my newly decorated paperclips:

New Dividers

The crafting bug has hit again as I've made my first set of dividers. They were a little but trickier than the dashboards, especially as the laminating pouches didn't quite 'stick'. I'm not sure if it's because of the paper or the pouches I've used, but all things given I'm pretty happy with them.

I opted for Roald Dahl paper to match the dashboard. My favourite one is the golden ticket, I had originally ummed and ahhed over it as my dashboard but didn't think the books would look right as a divider.

They're lovely and cheerful and look great in my domino.

I've already made a start on my next set of dividers for my tweed!

The Range

So I've been looking around at dividers for the much anticipated Filofax and I've been really struggling to find something I like that comes in the quantity I want. Then Pinterest came to my rescue once again, and I have decided to make my own. So of course today has been spent shopping for the perfect paper to make my dividers with, cue these little beauties!

I couldn't resist a few spots and stripes, my planner would not be complete without polka dots but the real beauty was the one on the left. Oh yes. Roald Dahl themed scrapbook paper. I kid you not, this is possibly the happiest I've ever been stationary shopping. Mr S was cracking up. There was no way I was leaving without one and had decided which papers would be used for which dividers before Mr S had even got me home.

I can't wait to share the finished product with you assuming all goes well and they turn out how I hope. It's something I really should wait until I've actually got my planner to make, but as you've already gathered I'm an impatient little starlet and I don't think I can wait!

Wilkinsons

Whilst out and about today I popped into my local Wilkos and picked out a few treats for myself, as you do. Nothing too special really, some divider post-its and some stickers. Whilst cats is one of my loves, so too is anything with a Parisian theme as Paris is one of my favourite places in the world, especially good old Disneyland.

I've got an A5 Filofax ear marked, so the dividers might be a touch small but they seemed like they'd be useful plus they were pretty... can't go wrong with that!

I'm really looking forward to using the stickers too, they're really sweet and should make a nice addition to the pages of my organiser. I am so excited for my organiser, I don't know how I'm going to make it the seven weeks until Christmas without cracking. Poor Mr S is going to have a lot of buzzing energy over the next few weeks.
