First attempt at inserts

I seldom share my use of my Domino, as although it's well used and much loved, it's very functional as it's my work planner. However this week I've made my first attempt at creating inserts that are built to purpose, particularly as what I'm currently using doesn't work for me.

As I am using an A5, the inserts were easy to make using clip art and bullet points. The first thing I made was a to do list. It's cute but needs some tweaks.

I love the Alice in Wonderland themed page. I downloaded the font from a website, I'm not 100% sure which, I'll see if I can find the link and the picture came from clip art.

I created a day per page insert as a week per page wasn't cutting it. As it is, this works for me and was so easy to make. I've held off on prettying my pages as it's supposed to be for work, but I'm slowly starting to yield to that desire to make my planner even more personal than it already is.

To do list with a twist

I'm forever writing myself to do lists and they're usually very linear with tick lists and highlighting. I thought I'd try something else after playing around with some fun post it notes.

The sticky notes are Pickle Parade notes which I got from Amazon. I love the cute cartoons and funny expressions on them. They have spaces to write on, then I colour them in with crayola two stables when I've completed the task on my list.

It's certainly made completely chores much more fun than my usual tick list. If anything I'm getting through my to do list faster so I can colour the little guys in.

Forgot I'd Got These

Another pleasant surprise today, I really must have a proper sort out over the holidays. I found a hardly used notebook in a fabulous design tucked away in a bag, and my note to self pad which I had been looking everywhere for.

I love the note to self pad for my to-do list and generally find it invaluable. It's just the right size too to have to hand so I can make a note of anything that needs to be added to my list. I'm definitely a 'write it down' kinda girl.

The note book has a million possible uses, I need to just settle on one as after post it notes, notebooks are probably my number one purchase. I usually opt to use them for creative writing however they're also good for journalling as well as planning (I've lost count of the number of books I've got with half planned holidays in the back of them, which is pretty odd as we've been on those holidays so I have no idea where the other half of the plan is in which case.)
