Yet every chance I get, I'm on Pinterest, Amazon, even eBay drooling over planners and keeping my fingers crossed for a bargain. In theory all my planning needs have already been met.
I've snooped around my favourite blogs and I know I'm not alone on this, and let's face it with the range of colours and sizes available is it any wonder one might not be enough?
Having a few to choose from allows you to match your planner to your mood and the time of year. You'd have to get everything in the same size so you can just transfer your set up of course, but it is great to coordinate.
Different planners can be used for different needs. Mr S. Knows exactly which filofax I'm going to get when the time comes to plan our wedding. Similarly, I adore my A5 I wouldn't change it, but I can't just slip it in my handbag when I go shopping.
Given the opportunity I'm sure I could justify my entire Wishlist without difficulty, however I'm pretty sure I'm preaching to the choir. So, can one ever be enough?
Apparently not. I spent 2014 bouncing between different sizes and formats. Truly a victim of the Goldilocks Syndrome. A5/Classic, too large and heavy to use as my daily control binder, have 3. The Personal size, Wo2P keeps my binder slim but is too constricting, unless I use DPP, but that would make my book too fat. Have 7 of those. Trying the FC Compact this year. Already have 2 of those. The crazy thing, they are all in use. Ooh, that's scary.
ReplyDeleteOoo Carla, I'm jealous! Maybe planners are like frogs? We've got to kiss lots to find the right one as the saying goes :-)
DeleteI love my FC compacts.
ReplyDeleteKristy
I'm itching to try a compact, thanks for the recommendation. I've been hinting to Mr S for a pennybridge
DeleteI think that it will depend on each person.
ReplyDeleteSince getting my first Filofax some years ago, I have enjoyed trying out different types & sizes but I think that I am ready to settle back down to just the one. I guess I want to simplify my life this year & feel that just one personal binder will be the way to go for me :)
I'm still really new to planning so I think I'm still planner curious at the moment and a hoarder by nature too... Not necessarily a good combination! I think you're right though, it's a question of finding what works for you :-)
